2019 WMBA Annual General Meeting

Date: October 22nd, 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Location: Harry Howell Arena (Community Room)

 

The Annual General Meeting of the WMBA will be held on October 22nd, beginning at 7:30 PM at Harry Howell Arena. All members of the community are welcome. The following details will be discussed at the meeting:

AGENDA:
Approval of 2018 AGM Minutes
Treasurer Report and Financial Review
Executive Reports
Voting (see positions below)
New Business (Open Forum): We encourage WMBA members to attend in order to understand our progress with regard to new endeavours we have undertaken (e.g. development clinics, joint practices, etc.) and where to take the organization in the future, alondg with outling what we have in store for next year. We would love to hear from you!

The following positions are up for election (all are 1 year positions unless explicitly stated below):

The WMBA is run by volunteers and the league is always in need for new volunteeers to fill positions within the board along with throughout the league, especially those involved with houseleague activities. If you feel you have what it takes to add something to the league and community, please feel free to let us know. As noted above, we are in need of a treasurer for the upcoming season, so if you have any initiative on handling this position, please reach out to us. You can email Candice Rivat ( ) leading up to the AGM date for any volunteer questions you have or if you are unable to attend the AGM in person.

AGM Outcome

 

Annual General Meeting

Thank you to all who participated at our AGM on Oct. 24, 2018. It was another great discussion with ideas that will definitely help this association grow and improve over the next few years.

Though we were almost able to fill every single position on the committee again for this coming season, we do have an urgent need to have the role of  Sponsorship Manager filled. This role plays an active part of our pre-season activities and is essential in helping to reduce fees for all houseleague members along with providing local businesses with visibility in our community. Other openings we are hoping to fill are Awards Coordinator, Uniform Coordinator - Houseleague and BOMBA Representative. Feel free to read the volunteer descriptions here to see what the positions entail and if you feel you have the ability to help out in any way with these roles, please feel free to send any inquiries to Candice (president@waterdownminorbaseball.com).

Thank you once again to all the parents and players for your support and enthusiasm over the past season. A special thank you to the committee members that worked to help run the association while wearing many hats.
