My my My my
Major Bantam Wolves Welland Tournament Finalists

Congratulations to our Bantam Wolves for making it to the championship game in the Welland Select tournament this weekend, the second time in as many years for this team. Winning the opening Friday game in deciding fashion 15-6 against Burlington, rain interrupted games on the Saturday to reduce the round robin from 3 games to 2, where the Wolves had to narrowly squeak into the Sunday playoff round despite a 6-0 loss against Oakville, advancing on the narrowist defensive innings runs allowed percentage as the 4th seed. Sunday's semi-final put the Wolves back on track, cruising into the final with a decisive 18-5 win against the host team, but the championship win eluded the Wolves as they succumbed a second time to the strong Oakville squad. A great weekend effort from the boys in preparation for provincials in a few weeks. Way to go Wolves!

Another Championship Weekend in the Books

The houseleague year for the PeeWee and lower division teams is in the books and we had another weekend of great weather conditions for our year end finale. It was a fabulous ending to another successful and ever-growing year for the WMBA. Championships were held at various times during this weekend and the medals have all been handed out! The results for each division were as follows:

Sr. T-Ball: The Waterdown Lions Club Rockies prevailed in the end, defeating the The Cooperators's Blue Jays

Rookieball:  The Everworks Blue jays one upped the Dairy Queen Pirates to take this one

Mosquito: The first place Red Sox held off the second place Athletics in a battle of the top of the standings teams

PeeWee: Another battle of the top two teams in the standings, with the first place Giants coming up victorious over the Red Sox

As our Bantam and Midget league is entering their playoffs, good luck to to them going forward.

Congratulations to all participants, and thank you for all the parents/guardians for making this another overall great season to date (depite all the rain). An extra special shout out to all the volunteer coaches, assistants and all those that made things happen smother than we ever could have expected. Let's hope that next year is just as special! We are always looking for more volunteers in all capacities, so feel free to get in touch with us if you feel the need to help out, as our membership is growing bigger than you can imagine!

P.S. Don't forget to look out for our ongoing rep team games, and wish those teams success in the upcoming OBA playoffs at the end of August & Labour Day weekend , one of which, the 13U C OBA Provincial tournament, will be hosted by none other than yours truly. Keep you eyes glued to our website as we will make announcements sometime in the near future for tryout time slots for 2020 rep and select teams to be held sometime in September.

AGM Outcome

Annual General Meeting

Thank you to all who participated at our AGM on Oct. 24, 2018. It was another great discussion with ideas that will definitely help this association grow and improve over the next few years.

Though we were almost able to fill every single position on the committee again for this coming season, we do have an urgent need to have the role of  Sponsorship Manager filled. This role plays an active part of our pre-season activities and is essential in helping to reduce fees for all houseleague members along with providing local businesses with visibility in our community. Other openings we are hoping to fill are Awards Coordinator, Uniform Coordinator - Houseleague and BOMBA Representative. Feel free to read the volunteer descriptions here to see what the positions entail and if you feel you have the ability to help out in any way with these roles, please feel free to send any inquiries to Candice (

Thank you once again to all the parents and players for your support and enthusiasm over the past season. A special thank you to the committee members that worked to help run the association while wearing many hats.
