SELECT teams are also eligible to be formed in any division and in the past we have had Select teams in Rookieball and Mosquito, but have also formed teams in T-Ball, Atom Girls, Squirt Girls and Peewee Girls.

The difference between REP and SELECT is that REP teams are formed as such via the tryout process and only play other REP teams (ie they do not play in house league). These teams are "representative" of the best players in our area.  In addition to league play, these teams may also compete in tournaments and may qualify for provincial championships.

The SELECT teams are teams comprised of players "selected" from house league level players.  Select players must play on a house league team to be eligible and are normally chosen just prior to, or early in the houseleague season.  In some cases, the process may begin as early as the end of each season, to prepare a core group of players as a potential line up for the following season.  

Applications to coach REP or SELECT are available at the end of each season, and selection is made by the WMBA Executive at that time.  This allows the coaches to begin winter development of potential players for the following season in both REP and SELECT.
