It is our goal as the WMBA to offer community baseball to all members of our community including those that may be in financial need and are unable to pay for their registration fees.  We make every effort to ensure everyone has a chance to play.  Fortunately, there are programs for families requiring assistance.

1. Canadian Tire Jump Start Program

Canadian Tire Jumpstart is a nationally registered charity dedicated to removing financial barriers so kids across Canada have the opportunity to get off the sidelines and into the game. Whether it’s the chance to try a sport for the very first time or to continue with a favourite physical activity, Jumpstart makes it possible for all kids to participate. We see it as equipping kids for life because quality physical activity in kids does more than improve health and well-being. It helps build confidence, leadership, productivity and creativity. The program is availabel for kids between the ages of 4 to 18 by assisting with the costs associated with registration, equipment and/or transportation for sports and physical activity programming.

National in scope but local in focus, Canadian Tire JumpStart delivers support to children through a Canadian-wide network of local chapters, made up of a variety of community leaders committed to helping kids get active, such as Big Brothers and Big Sisters Canada, YMCA, and Parks and Recreation and Flamborough Information and Community Services ( FICS)
These community partners are joined by Canadian Tire Associate Dealers and Petroleum Agents, and together the chapters identify children in financial need who would benefit from the program.

For more information on the Jump Start program or wondering if you would be eligible for funding please contact  Flamborough Information and Community at 905-689-7880 and we will facilitate this process.
