Divisional Convenors
 
 
Each of the WMBA divisions requires a volunteer Convenor that oversees the activities of that division over the course of the season. In the spring, each Convenor works with the coaches of the teams within the respective division to map out the season. Part of this process includes drafting teams. Beyond that, Convenor’s support their coaches, players and parents throughout the season. At the end of the season, the Convenor administers the division play offs and participates in the presentation of the end of season awards.
 
Convenor’s need not be experts in the sport of Baseball. Their efforts are supported throughout the season by the Chief Convenor and other Convenors. The time commitment is about 10 hours at the beginning of the season (April / May) and then approximately 2 hours per week once the season gets started.  Convenors are encouraged to attend their division games as frequently as possible.
