Welcome
Welcome to the Waterdown Minor Baseball Association web site.

The website serves as the primary communication method between association members, coaches, players, parents, officials and the Executive.  Please read through some of the updated pages to learn more about the WMBA and our approach to baseball for our youth.

The site has also been successfully and securely providing online registration and payment functions for the past four years.  Once a season is under way the site will make schedules available online as well as send automatic reminders and reschedule notices.  Game and tournament results and standings are available for divisions where play does not extend into interlocked associations.

Take the time to browse the site and provide Feedback.

Also check out our Facebook page for more information or to post your feedback.

Call for Coaches (corrected link)
by posted 04/23/2012

While it's getting close to the beginning of the season and we have many coaching positions filled already, we have several open coaching positions available for the 2012 season.

With about 40 teams this year we need at least 80 volunteers to help run your association. In some cases, we have a significant gap in coaching resources for our older age divisions.  Please step forward and volunteer your time.  We will provide assistance and coach training to help get you started.  We welcome volunteers from our senior divisions (Grade 11 and above) as mentors for our younger players as well.  Volunteer hours will be provided for high school requirements.

If you are remotely interested, please enquire to available positions with Paul Johnston our Head Convener ( ).  Also complete a coaching application form (corrected link).  Police clearances are also required - see our police check page for more information

Yours in baseball,

Used Equipment - Can Find a New Life
by posted 01/29/2012

Have used baseball equipment and uniforms and don’t know what to do with it?

The WMBA has recently partnered with “Roberto’s Kids” collecting and distributing equipment to communities in the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Puerto Rico. Any donations will be graciously received at our in-person registration dates February 4 and February 18th at North Wentworth Arena (upstairs) and throughout the baseball season.

Please ensure all equipment and pants are clean and in good condition.

Tentative Game Nights by Division
by posted 01/15/2012

Every year the most common question we receive is when different divisions will play.   As this doesn't change much from year to year, we should be able to put this information on the site.

The Season will start in mid-to-late May.  We can't provide a firm date, as the City of Hamilton must assess diamond conditions and approve them for use prior to our access.

So, tentatively these are the game nights that you should expect to have scheduled games.  Practice nights are at the coaches discretion and will be communicated once the season starts.  You may not have games scheduled, all nights, but these are the nights we reserve for each division:

Blastball:  Mondays
T-Ball:  Tuesdays and/or Thursdays
Grasshopper: Mondays and/or Wednesdays
Rookieball: Tuesdays and/or Thursdays
Mosquito: Mondays and/or Wednesdays

For older divisions and girls fastpitch, we can't provide weeknights at this time as scheduling requires coordination with multiple associations and will not be finalized until early May.  We do set aside tentative nights and more information is available in our New To Ball - Parents Page

If you aren`t sure what division your child qualifies for the Parents Page provides a convenient table by age or birth year.
