Lower Houseleague

The WMBA runs three Lower Houseleague divisions TBall (formerly Jr. TBall), Coach Pitch and 9U (formerly Rookieball).

TBall (formerly Jr. TBall) - Is an introductory division to the sport of baseball.  Every player hits and every player fields.  The program is run on Tuesdays and Thursdays with the families having the choice of night.  This program is for those who are turning 5 or 6 by the end of the calendar year.  Games are 1.5 hours long and start at 6:30pm.  From 6:30pm to 7:00pm is development time where coaches/volunteers work with the players.  7:00pm to 8:00pm is the game time where teams will play 2-3 innings.  All players hit and there are no outs.  Games mostly played at - Carlisle diamonds, Waterdown Memorial Park

Coach Pitch - This division is replacing Sr. TBall. Players aged 7 by end of calendar year and players born between Jan 1 and June 30 of the next year. Weeknight games on Monday and Wednesday with 6:30pm start. Teams play 1-2 games per week. Games mostly played at - Carlisle diamonds, Waterdown Memorial Park, Gatesbury

9U (formerly Rookieball) - Players aged 8 or 9 by end of calendar year. Weeknight games on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday with 6:30pm start. Teams play 1-2 games per week on any of the three nights. Players age 8 by end of calendar year can play Coach Pitch.  Games mostly played at - Waterdown Memorial Park

For Coach Pitch and 9U the WMBA will provide weekend times throughout the season on weekends (Friday Night - Sunday) for division wide practices.

Those players who are 8 by end of the calendar year will be evaluated and could be moved to either Coach Pitch or 9U based on skill level.  Coach Pitch is more an introductory division and is more suited for those coming out of TBall and new to the sport.

In July along with selected players from our Upper Houseleague teams, players from Coach Pitch and 9U will be selected to participate in our annual All Star Games.

New for 2024 is player evaluations in late April early May to balance teams.
