Jr. Wolves
The Jr. Wolves Development Program started in 2022 as a way for players at the 7U age to be able to get the extra development to prepare for 8U Rep. For the 2024 season this program will be offered to those players born in 2016 and 2017 who are looking to make the jump to the rep/select programming.
Program Outline

The program will run from early May to early September.

Program is run Saturday mornings mainly at Joe Sams. During tournament weekends held in Waterdown the program will move to another day/night that week.

Skill development is key in sports and this program works with the players to improve the basic individual and team skills.

Program is open to 24 participants for the season.

Players will receive a Waterdown Jr. Wolves Jersey and Waterdown Wolves hat.

This program is open to all players who are currently registered in our houseleague program and born in 2016 or 2017.

Players interested will come out for an evaluation in April or May.

The cost for the program is $75 on top of the houseleague registration fee.
In 2019 our 8U coach noticed there was a gap between the larger centres and Waterdown when it came to skill at the Rep level. After looking into it our coach realized at 8U Waterdown struggles year after year. From this realization our coach put the program together and created the current Jr. Wolves. The program was to begin in 2020 but due to the global pandemic it was put on hold until 2022 when the first group went through the program. Our 2023 8U team was made up of 11 participants from the program and they achieved more in 8U than any other Waterdown 8U team prior.
